Ofsted

Ofsted visited Camps Hill on 16th and 17th April 2024. Camps Hill received a GOOD grading overall.

 

We were proud to achieve the GOOD standard in four out of five areas.

Inspection context: We had two teachers leave our two Reception Classes in the Spring Term. Our supply teachers in the EYFS started the same day that Ofsted rang. 

 


The report identified many strengths within the school:

  • Pupils are happy and safe here
  • Pupils have warm relationships with each other and with the staff
  • Pupils are polite towards each other
  • The school has ensured that reading is prioritised for all pupils
  • (Teachers) confidently and expertly teach the curriculum as intended. As a result, pupils are attaining well
  • In Early Years, reading and mathematics are taught well
  • The curriculum is ambitious, followed consistently by staff and ensures pupils learn the full range of subjects
  • Leaders have high expectations for pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND)
  • They ensure that teachers carefully adapt the curriculum to address specific needs
  • The school has a well-considered approach to the personal development of pupils
